Come as you are,
from wherever you are,
to a soft place to land and heal,
where you can feel
whole-heartedly human.

Hello! My name is Xu Wang (they/them) and I am the founder and therapist of Artfeels Counselling and Art Therapy.

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC # 14331).
I infuse my practice with healing rooted in anti-oppressive and decolonizing frameworks, while joyfully supporting BIPOC, trans, queer, disabled, “mad”/neurodivergent, and parent communities. Together, we share a journey of co-creation, weaving a space where every facet of your experiences and identities is celebrated through candid conversation, playful exploration, and creative expression.

  • Experiential-Talk Therapy

I specialize in practicing intersectional feminist and narrative approaches, integrating somatic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapies with an anti-oppressive praxis. In our therapeutic conversations, we co-create new meanings and narratives, holding space for all parts of you to speak and contribute.

  • Art Therapy

I find that I connect most deeply with myself and others through the process of art making. By tapping into the imaginative and creative realms, we can gain deeper insights into our human experience. Engaging in art making is a liberating and embodied process, inviting you to open up and lean into your intuition and eros.

  • "Supervision and Consultation"

I offer clinical supervision for practicum students and consultation for community caregivers. In this capacity, my role is to support and uplift all individuals seeking to decolonize care in psychotherapy. Together, we work towards dismantling barriers and co-conspiring against oppressive systems.

  • Groups and Workshops

I have a particular focus on designing and facilitating art therapy groups and experiential learning workshops. These sessions explore topics related to intersecting identities and experiences, drawing upon art and play-based wisdoms. Additionally, I focus on intergenerational trauma cycle-breaking and delve into the exploration of parenting and the 'inner-mother' archetype.

I am currently exploring the possibilities of conducting a pilot play-therapy group on video-game assisted experiences/healing.
